Tattoo Procedure Terms & Conditions
Age restrictions
You must be at least 18 to get a tattoo under UK laws. It is required that you bring your photo ID at the time of your appointment. Even those who are under 18 and have parental consent, will not be allowed to get a tattoo.
Bookings & appointments
In order to reserve an appointment time, you will need to pay the deposit to secure it. The deposit goes towards the final price for your tattoo and it is non-refundable. Your appointment will not be officially booked until you have sent the deposit, which will be followed by a confirmation email with a welcome pack so you can start preparing for your tattoo.
After your appointment is booked, if due to any unforeseen circumstances you need to reschedule your appointment, and you let me know with at least 48 hours notice, your deposit will remain valid. The deposit will be withheld, though, if you cancel at any time, don’t show up on the day or reschedule more than once.
Once the deposit is paid, it has a three-month expiry date, meaning you have this amount of time to book or reschedule your session.
Please aim to arrive at the scheduled time of your appointment; arriving either too early or too late can pose challenges. If you arrive too early, there might not be anyone in the studio to receive you. I allow a 30-minute grace period. However, if you are more than 30 minutes late, a 20% late fee will apply.
Agreement & disclaimer
These are the agreements you make when you accept getting a tattoo:
- You declare that you’re not under the influence of alcohol or any drugs and that you’re not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You understand that no form of anaesthetic will be used in the procedure. You understand that every care will be taken to ensure that the procedure is carried out in a hygienic way, which includes the use of disposable and pre-sterilised equipment.
- You are aware that the tattooing procedure involves the insertion of needles into your skin, and you willingly and voluntarily agree to have this procedure.
- You are aware that tattooing can result in scarring, blood poisoning, septicaemia, sepsis, localised infection, localised swelling and trauma around the treated site, and allergic reactions, and if you have any concerns you will discuss this with the artist.
- You acknowledge it is not reasonably possible for the tattooer or other employees of the studio to determine whether you might have an allergic reaction to the pigments or processes used for your tattoo and you agree to accept that such a reaction is possible.
- You understand that it is your responsibility to properly care for your tattoo upon leaving the studio and that you will follow the guided aftercare instructions and seek professional medical advice in the instance that you encounter any problems during the healing process.
- You understand that in the case of regret or dissatisfaction with the tattoo, no refunds will be given and no tattoo removal costs will be paid by the artist.
- You release the person who carries out the tattoo from all responsibility concerning your tattoo, and of all consequences that might arise from your decision to have this tattoo. You declare that you give the artist your full consent to tattoo you and that the information given above is true to the best of your knowledge.
Design creation
At the time of the appointment we have the opportunity to discuss the design and make any adjustments/changes you request. Communicating this way in person is much easier and stress free. Due to the intuitive nature of my process, I find that most of the time the adjustments are very minor. But, of course, you are encouraged and more than welcome to take as long as you need to decide on the final design.
If in the end you are still not happy with the design, we can cancel the appointment and reschedule for a completely new design. This would require you to pay another full deposit to secure a booking.
I do not copy other artists’ work. All my creations are my own. If you send me a picture of another tattoo artists’ work, I will not copy their work for you. I can create something brand new inspired by references you give me but using my own style and creative process. It will look different.
